Kindergarten to Grade 3:
Saptarishis

2026-27 curriculum for Kindergarten to Grade 3 students: Saptarishis

The seven sages are revered in India for their wisdom, discipline, spiritual knowledge and the preservation of Vedantic sacred knowledge that have been passed on from one generation to another.

The Saptarishis are: Atri, Bharadvaja, Gautama, Jamadagni, Kashyapa, Vasishtha, and Vishwamitra.

With the use of arts and crafts, basic yoga moves and songs, the group of Shishuvihar and Elementary grades (Grade KG to 3) children will learn about the seven great sages.

Children as young as 2 years old are invited to participate in these classes, but are required to be accompanied by a parent.

Grades 4 through 6:
Keys to Success

2026-27 curriculum for Grades 4 through 6 students: Keys to Success

Key to Success is a book that we will take up with the middle school children, Grades 4 to 6.

We have heard of the Bhagawad Geeta, which is a dialogue that takes place on the Kurukshetra battlefield between Lord Krishna and Arjuna. Here, Arjuna had doubts to fight against his cousins and he fell at the feet of Lord Krishna and gained Self Knowledge.

The Key to Success is based on the Vibhishana Geeta. Here, Lord Rama teaches Vibhishana (Ravana’s brother) on the battlefield of Sri Lanka. Vibhishana had a doubt in Lord Rama as to how he was going to fight his brother. He saw Ravana’s might and strength of warfare. He voiced to Lord Rama his concern that he had no armour, no shoes and only a bow with his arrows. Lord Rama replies Vibhishana is a few short verses with beautiful metaphors.

Key to Success will take the children on a journey of these words of Lord Rama with the use of imagery of a chariot, the horses, the reins, the charioteer, weapons and armour.

Welcome to this wonderful mission! The key to a child’s mental success lies in balancing emotional resilience, cognitive curiosity, and structured daily habits. Navigating the “odyssey of the mind” requires guiding children to understand how their brains work and giving them tools to manage their thoughts and feelings.

Grades 7 through 12:
Self-Unfoldment

This simple, yet profound book will be done by two groups: the youngsters (Grades 7 to 12) and parents every Sunday, starting in September.

Each class will have a sevak that will conduct the classes so as to guide and initiate discussion amongst the participants. The book unfolds in a simple and easy to read format, the fundamentals of Vedanta.

Swami Chinmayananda shows this scientific minded generation and systematic and logical explanation of the ancient spiritual teachings of Hinduism. He takes the reader with a step-by-step thought analysis of the thought development of Vedanta.

The 18 chapters are profound, precise and simple which inspires conversation amongst the youth and adults that brings an inner unfoldment within.

Adults: Study Group

Held on Tuesday nights from 8:30pm to 9:30pm from September to June via Zoom.
(time + day of week subject to change)

Our small study group has been meeting online for over 10 years beginning with Chapter 1 of the 18 chapters. This September, the group will continue their journey together with Chapter 18. A review will be done of what was discussed until the end of June.

Through Zoom, the group sees and hears Pujya Gurudev explain one or more verses in great depth. The video is then turned off after each verse is elaborated on in detail by Swamiji, so that the members of the study group can discuss and share their thoughts and reflections in order to betterunderstand what they heard and saw on the video.

As of September 2026, the group is continuing Geeta Chapter 18. This is the last and longest chapter of the Geeta and is a comprehensive study of the preceding chapters. Arjun is ready to go to battle, but now asks Lord Krishna to speak about renunciation.

Changes to day of week & time are decided by adult study group based on availability of all attendees. Contact us for the Zoom details and for the updated time slot for these classes.
